Description Vacation house and barn for a growing extended family
Site Waterfront
Design While fitting in with local Shingle Style and Colonial Revival traditions, Harbor View is organized for modern living, with the kitchen at the center, open to the living/dining room and waterside porch.
Only when you arrive directly in front of the new house do you discover the surprise of a domed rotunda. Its open porch half projects out from and half scoops into the main volume of the house.
The plan is largely one room deep to encourage cross ventilation and to take advantage of water views to the north, while admitting sunlight from the south. The flavor is influenced by an informal rustic camp next door.
