Site East-facing hillside, overlooking a family farm
Design Orienting the house perpendicular to the slope allows for the separation of the property into a public, arrival side on the North and a private, garden side to the South, both with views of the fields.
Exposed rafter tails and an oiled fir interior evoke the imagery and character of a rustic camp. Zig-zags and criss-crosses of wood are carried throughout the house as an ornamental theme.
