As an ART partner, J.B. practices the art and science of architecture throughout the Northeast, designing buildings in the New England tradition with a focus on place and sustainability. J.B. designed Vermont’s first Certified Passive House.

J.B joined ART in 2002. Before working for ART, J.B. helped develop the master plan for NYC’s 2012 Summer Olympic bid. He holds a BA from Brown University and a MArch from Yale School of Architecture.

J.B. lives with his wife and son in Milton, Massachusetts. When not designing buildings, J.B. likes to travel and sketch historic buildings. He is also a certified USSA ski coach, PSIA ski instructor, former ski racer, and avid backcountry skier.
