Design
The Elder Care Housing incorporates an existing 19th century yellow farmhouse seamlessly into the composition. The new wings extend towards the water, affording views and south light into all key spaces. Six living units provide comfortable living for long-time island residents.

The door of this landmark building, when built in 1891, featured a fan light and side lights with elaborate leaded glass, which were removed in the 1960’s. Our project was to reconstruct the original leaded glass pattern, based on photographs found in the Harvard University Archives.

Fishers Island, New York
A broad gable gives the museum a public presence in the village, and a tower with a bell-shaped dome announces the entrance. An outside gathering space behind the museum with a large deck and gazebo overlooks and connects the building to a nature preserve.
